Teacher’s Single Malt Scotch Whisky 1L
Category: Whisky / Malt Whisky
Teacher’s Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the Ardmore distillery founded by the Teachers family themselves back in 1898. It is the last Highland distillery to still fully peat its malted barley, giving it a rich complex taste. But the secret of its depth of character comes from the secondary maturation in small ‘Quarter Casks’, traditionally used in the 19th century which are rarely found these days.
The additional contact with the oak creates a deep powerful flavour profile with an extraordinary long finish. The full-bodied smoothness can be best appreciated at bottling strength but with a touch of water the full complexity can be recognized.
Colour: Burnished Gold colour.
Nose: A rich softness linked with a smooth, slightly dry aroma, combined with a gentle, earthy, peat smoke.
Palate: Full and rich flavours, fill the mouth with a creamy peat tang and a touch of vanilla and sweet ripe fruit.
Finish: Full, succulent and quite long.
